"My paintings and drawings are geometric abstractions of patterns and forms derived from numbers, and the mathematical division of the pictoral plane.  Concepts such as push & pull, contraction & retraction, above & below are often employed. Many pieces have shapes that radiate from a central point evoking the Mandala of Eastern traditions or the spiral of Archemedian geometry. The repeating, and interlocking shapes, cause me to draw with M.C. Escher in mind as his tessellations were inspirational in my earliest artistic explorations."
